The idea behind SolasBay is that future technology will allow a direct global transportation of solar energy, derived from the sun by solar panels mounted on rooftops, through the Internet infrastructure. When the technology will become available, a global energy grid will be created, where people who live in areas with higher exposure to sunlight will 'upload' excessive energy to the grid, while people who have higher energy needs will 'download' energy from the gird.
Also, since availability of solar energy varies due to different timezones and the grid is global, energy will always be available for download. Additionally, since seasons are different in the northern and southern hemispheres, even during winter, solar energy will be available by energy up-loaders who are celebrating the sunny summer on the other end of the world.
SolarsBay will provide the platform to support the trading activity over the Global Solar Energy Grid.
